Investigative Technology, LLC is an approved provider for CEH classes for Louisiana Private Investigators. We currently offer Handwriting Analysis - Basic Concepts for a fee of $95.00. Don't delay and book your date. Never pay late fees again. This class is also offered to the general public. We will be teaching part of this class beginning in June with LSU Leisure Classes.
All courses are electives as none apply to state licensing requirements. These basic courses will give you important introductory topics which will provide you with perspective, knowledge, direction and skill.
Currently we offer (7) Basic Courses..also known as Core Courses. You may take each course as you wish. Some courses are 8 hours while others last approximately 20 hours. Each course is limited to five students per instructor. There are advanced courses offered on a continuing basis. It is recommended that an unskilled person complete the basic core courses before taking an advance courses or specialized training.
Textbooks are required for some courses. See your instructor for information to purchase textbooks if you have not purchased them prior to class.
The following are the 7 Basic Core Courses:
1) TYPES OF INVESTIGATIONS
How to identify, plan and implement the type of investigation best suited to a client's need. A mock case file is implemented with a client intake
2) INTERVIEWS, STATEMENTS & REPORT WRITING
This is an in depth method of conducting interviews of witnesses, victims or suspects. You will learn the use of a basic format used to carry out a successful interview. Practice the techniques used for an interrogation, recognizing body language to identify signs of deception. Practice the taking of written and recorded statements. Prepare a chronological surveillance report for a mock case assignment; preparing the finalized synopsis and cover letters to attorneys and clients.
3) SURVEILLANCE - MOCK CASE
Field exercises are planned and executed. (Saturday or Sunday's are involved with this class.) Covert surveillance, photography and videotaping are covered. Evening, night and early morning surveillance is required. (Who knows you could be the lucky one who get s to go out in the wee hours of the morning to do a drive-by, looking for a vehicle.)
4) DOMESTIC ISSUES / CHILD CUSTODY
A mock case client intake is prepared, planned and executed for this exercise. You will also learn how an Unannounced Home Study is initiated and why.
5) CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS
Criminal Defense - Students will assist an attorney with (mock case) defense of criminal case from indictment to trial. Interact with, interviews and cooperate with law enforcement investigators in criminal cases. You can become familiar with law enforcement investigations of homicide, burglary, sexual assault and robbery cases.
6) ACCIDENTS\PERSONAL INJURY
Interpreting police reports; re-creating an accident site; video; photographs; statements; locating witnesses.
7) AGENCY MANAGEMENT
Agency ownership, management, promotion and marketing. You are guided through the process of obtaining licenses; permit; insurance, preparing a business plan, designing business cards, brochures and other material.
PART 2
Organize the opening of a professional agency including location, leasing, furnishing; equipment and staff.
